The residents of Florida are being told to prepare for a possible tropical system later this week as they recover from Hurricane Ian.
Hurricane and tropical storm Nicole has killed at least four people in the US’ South Carolina. It’s expected to reach the Florida peninsula on Thursday, according to the National Hurricane Centre (NHC). Nicole could become a top-end tropical storm or bottom-end hurricane by the time it reaches Florida, the NHC said.

Hurricane Ian struck South Carolina on Thursday and is expected to hit the state on Friday. Ian was downgraded to a Tropical Storm on Thursday, hours after making landfall in the US state of Florida. “Ian is forecast to weaken into a tropical storm…by Friday,” the US National Hurricane Center said.
