A man who identified himself as Tom Gomez called Sangamon County Central Dispatch in Illinois to report that two gunmen had shooting a dozen students at Springfield High School. The district had previously fired the chief of the police department, Pete Arredondo, who state officials have said was the incident commander during the shooting.
