The warning from COP 27 about carbon emissions has hit a new high.
The UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has said that it needs to cut the world’s carbon emissions by at least 42% from their 2019 levels by 2030. It added that there should be no investment in new fossil fuel supplies to reach the goal of limiting warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius.
