The British royals are getting ready for the Harry documentary.

The Making of Prince Harry and Meghan: How did we end up here? What did we learn from the first episode of a tell-all series?

“While Prince Harry and Meghan continued to paint themselves as victims, heads in hands, tearing their hair out at the unfairness of it all, the Prince and Princess were simply getting on with the job,” the Telegraph wrote.

The first three episodes of the Harry andMeghan project were released on Thursday, after months of speculation that the couple would star in a tell-all series.

Harry said he learned from his mother, who was angry at the media, that the pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution was something he had never seen before.

Buckingham and Kensington Palaces will likely be braced for the fallout from the series, after sustained tensions between Harry and his father, King Charles, and brother, Prince William.

It is hard to see what happened when you look back on it. Like how did we end up here?,” Harry said in a video diary shown in the first episode, recorded shortly after the pair finished their final royal duties in March 2020.

He said that he became concerned for the safety of his family and attacking the media was how he became concerned.

Within the first couple of minutes of the show, Harry took aim at the media. No one is aware of the full truth. The media knows the full truth since they have been involved, Harry said. He said he considers it his “duty” to “uncover this exploitation and bribery that happens within our media.”

A year and a half ago the couple’s interview with Oprah Winfrey caused turmoil at the palace, after which the series came about.

The series comes at a crucial moment for the monarchy as King Charles III tries to show that the institution still has a role to play after the death of Queen Elizabeth II, whose personal popularity dampened criticism of the crown during her 70-year reign. Charles is making a case that the House of Windsor can help unite a nation that is increasingly diverse by using the early days of his reign to meet with many ethnic groups and faiths.

Buckingham Palace said on Thursday that it will not be commenting on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s new docu-series that was released on Netflix on Thursday.

The couple have spoken before about the constraints placed on them while members of the royal family, and that frustration re-emerged repeatedly in the documentary.

Meghan described her engagement announcement in 2017 as an “orchestrated reality show.” And speaking of the media’s initial fascination with the prince’s then-girlfriend, Harry recalled how other members of the royal family struggled to share his concern.

“As far as a lot of the family were concerned, everything that she was being put through, they had been put through as well. Harry said it was almost like a rite of passage. “My wife had to go through that, so why should your girlfriend be treated any differently? Why should you get special treatment? He said they argued why she should be protected.

“I said the difference here is the race element,” Harry added. The pair have frequently railed against racist undertones in tabloid coverage of Meghan, who is biracial.

“These are the skeletons in the closet that frequently make an unwelcome appearance in daily life in this family – sometimes, you know, you’re part of the problem rather than part of the solution and there is a huge level of unconscious bias,” Harry said.

“The thing with unconscious bias – it is actually no one’s fault. But once it has been pointed out, or identified within yourself, you then need to make it right,” he said.

Elsewhere in the first batch of episodes, Harry commented on some previous marriages among his relatives and ancestors. “I think for so many people in the family, especially the men, there can be a temptation or an urge to marry someone who would fit the mold as opposed to somebody who you perhaps are destined to be with,” he said.

He said that the judgement of their was affected more by the fact that he was dating an American actress. “The actress thing was the biggest problem, funnily enough,” Meghan added.

Harry also compared Meghan to his mother, Princess Diana, who died in a car crash while being chased by paparazzi in 1997. “So much of what Meghan is and how she is is so similar to my mum … He said in the first episode that she has the same confidence as him and is warm towards her.

“I remember thinking, how can I ever find someone who is willing and capable to be able to withstand all the baggage that comes with being with me?” He said it was true.

The breakdown of her relationship with her father was brought about by a controversy relating to whether he staged a series of selfies in order to get her to marry him.

“Of course, it’s incredibly sad what happened – she had a father before this and now she doesn’t have a father. Harry said that if Meg was not with him then her dad would still be her dad.

CNN’s Inside View of the British Royal Family: The Conversation Between Prince William and his Ex-Fifiancée During the August 8, 2019 Event

There are three more episodes to be released next week. Interviews were completed in August, the month before the Queen’s death, according to the series.

CNN’s Royal News is an inside track on the royal family, with information on what is going on in public and behind palace walls.

The first few episodes of the series about the relationship between Prince Harry and his ex- fiancée will be available Thursday on streaming service, and Britain’s monarchy is bracing for more revelations.

Prince William, the heir to the throne and Harry’s older brother, defended the royal family after the interview, telling reporters, “We’re very much not a racist family.”

But Buckingham Palace faced renewed allegations of racism only last week when a Black advocate for survivors of domestic abuse said a senior member of the royal household interrogated her about her origins during a reception at the palace. The issue was covered by British media, overshadowing William and his wife Kate’s visit to Boston, which the palace had hoped would highlight their environmental credentials.

The program will be watched carefully in the U.K., where even the teasers were criticized for offering misleading images to back up the emotive narration alleging misogyny, unfair media treatment and racism.

In one section of the footage, clips of paparazzi are spliced together with old footage of Princess Diana being followed by the media as Harry says in a voiceover: “The pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution, this feeding frenzy. … I was terrified, I didn’t want history to repeat itself.”

Sky News reported that one clip used toIllustrate his words shows reporters and photographers waiting for a TV star outside a court.

Harry said that there is a hierarchy of the family over the image of the royal family standing on the balcony. “You know, there’s leaking, but there’s also planting of stories.”

While the scene suggests the photographer was covertly snapping pictures of a private moment, the photo actually shows an accredited press photographer who was covering the couple’s meeting with Desmond Tutu in 2019.

Whatever the series reveals, palace officials hope to deflect the storm by portraying William and Kate as forward-looking young royals who are tackling difficult issues such as climate change and early childhood education, in contrast to Harry and Meghan, who are described by critics as merely celebrities selling their story to the media.

The Daily Telegraph, one of Britain’s most influential newspapers, picked up on this topic in their coverage of William and Kate’s visit to Boston, where they met with anti-violence groups and attended a basketball game.
