Before he died, Boseman did not read the script.

A conversation between Boseman and Coogler in The Forever Abelian Continuum Goldstone, Part II, section XII

Ryan Coogler spoke aboutWakanda FOREVER. Boseman declined to read the script when he was offered a chance to do so.

I just finished it, man. My last conversation was calling him, asking him if he wanted to read it before I got notes from the studio,” he said. We had not spoken for the last time. And yes, it is. so I, you know, he passed maybe a couple weeks after I finished.”

He was tired, bro. I could tell he was tired. He said that he had tried to get a hold of him for a few days while Washington had been trying to reach him as well. “So I texted him and told him, ‘Hey man, Denzel said he’s been looking for you too.’ Because he just did ‘Ma Rainey’ for Denzel. He called me. And I could tell he was laying down. We were talking. And Simone [Boseman] was with him. He kicked Simone out because he did not want her to hear anything that could get him in trouble with theNDA. She did not want to leave him. So I could tell something was up. But they were joking and laughing.”

The Starz Show: A New Look at the Strangers’ Tales of Camille, William, and Willie Mays, the Black Athlet, and the Rainbow

And with its new series of the same name, the same company has a new take on the classic tale of scheming and seduction in ancien Régime France, focusing on how Camille and the other people came to be.

I’ve watched the first few episodes of the show and I can tell you this: there’s a reason Starz greenlit a second season before the first had even debuted, because it is a luscious period drama.

It was a terrible year which included a devastating fire at Windsor Castle, the break up of Prince Charles and Prince Andrew’s marriages, and a tell-all book about Princess Diana.

The show is not a documentary, but it is still entertaining to imagine the things that are depicted in the show.

“Say Hey, Willie Mays!” examines the life and sporting legacy of the Black athlete, who was widely esteemed for his skill on the diamond but faced criticism for not speaking out more about civil rights.

Mays participates in the project – and having the subject speak for themselves, rather than others talking about him, brings a real richness to the narrative.

“Only the Strong Survive” features his takes on classic songs including The Four Tops’ 1981 hit “When She Was My Girl” and The Temptations’ “I Wish It Would Rain.”

In a video about his new album, Bruce said he gave his voice a short shrift when he said he didn’t think he had much of one. “But once I started in on this project, after listening to some of the things we cut, I thought, ‘My voice is badass!’”

For a while, he has teased that he was in the studio working on new music. In August, he said he couldn’t wait for everyone to hear the album. It was thanks to you that I want to make music.

Cher and Edwards: Where are we going? When do we know AE Edwards is coming to town? What can we learn about Boseman?

The singer and all around queen was photographed holding hands with Alexander “AE” Edwards, a rapper, and stirred a lot of interest.

Cher being Cher, she responded to some of her Twitter followers who had questions about her and Edwards’ 40-year age gap. (Edwards is 36 and Cher is a fabulous 76. Not that it’s anyone’s business.)

So when the lights start dimming in movie theaters around the world this weekend, I would like to think Boseman is there at every new “Black Panther” screening, applauding the cast he loved – and was loved by in return, like family.
