The lowest price ever on a AirPods Pro 2 was on Amazon.

WIRED: Where are the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly? The Deals on earbuds from Amazon on Prime Day Part 2

Whatever voodoo is powering the active noise-canceling (ANC) and transparency modes on the AirPods Pro has managed to keep them ahead of other earbuds on the market, including the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro.

Like their predecessors, the Pro 2 will still carry the same steep $249 price tag, but if you order right now on Amazon, you’ll save $10. It is rare to see a new Apple drop with any other piece of art, so be sure to grab a pair now.

An Overview on the Best Surfaces for Most People: The Case Study of the First MacBook Air, The M1 MacBook Air and The Best M1 Laptops

The range of Surface laptops is not as stylish as some of the brand’s sets, but most people just need a laptop. This is our pick for the best Surface for most people. Microsoft’s flagship laptop is now under $1,000 and offers 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of SSD storage. There is a new Surface Pro 5 that can be read about here.

This MacBook Pro model received a strong review (8/10, WIRED Recommends). We like it for its high-end performance, stunning display, premium build quality, and the welcome return of MagSafe. It isn’t a huge deal, but you may be buying one anyway.

The first M1 MacBook Air was a revelation. The new device brought Arm to Apple’s laptops and it offered up a fanless design while still managing strong productivity performance as well as top battery. It’s now under $800.

Both theIntel andAMD versions of this laptop offer the same features, and we really like it. With an 11th-gen Intel Core i7 chip, 8 GB of RAM, 512-GB SSD, and Thunderbolt 4, it’s a great productivity combo for hybrid workers or students. The OLED display is bright and crisp too.

This is one of the best and latest laptops in the industry, with a shiny new Intel chip. The Best Laptops guide has a 16 inch version of this device. The Gram range is light and you will barely notice the machine in your bag. The rest of the specs include 16 GB of RAM and a 512-GB SSD, a  strong combo for serious productivity.

One of our favorite laptop stands is this one. It allows you to work from a bed or couch. The offer section can stay stable for coffee or note taking while the stand has the ability to adjust part of it to a certain angle.

An Efficient Laptop for the Work From Home Guide: The HP Pavilion G15 x the Acer Nitro 5 (8/10, WIRED Recommendations)

It is a good way to kill two birds with one stone if you include anSSD in your dongle. The main draw of the device is the ability to add an M.2 Solid State drive for easy on-the-go storage.

Many MacBooks still feature a limited number of ports, and this is a great add-on to expand your connectivity horizons. There are 2xusb-c ports, 2xUSB-A ports, 1xHDMI port, 1x MicroSD slot, and a Lightning port here for just $50.

If you got used to more than one display while WFH-bound during the pandemic but are now required to be on the go once again, a slim portable monitor is a great option. The model features in our Work From Home guide but is a bit plasticy and the display is a little weak. But its reasonably priced, super compact, and has a convenient kickstand.

The Acer Nitro 5 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is one of the best cheap gaming laptops around, offering a great screen and typing experience for a reasonable price. This model packs a punch in a simple build. There are a lot of ports. At under $800, it’s hard to find a better performance-to-value ratio elsewhere.

This laptop from Acer is delightfully sleek but manages to keep the price down. The Swift 3 has a high-end 11th Gen Core i7 chip, 8 gigabytes of memory, and a 512-gigabyte Solid State drive, all at a low price. The selection of ports was good, and the battery life was good as well.

With consoles like the Xbox Series S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam Deck around, gaming laptops can look pretty expensive. They are the only option if you want a great display in a portable package. This Dell G15 has all of it at almost $300 off. It comes with one of Intel’s latest gaming chips alongside 16 GB of ram, 512-GB SSD, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060, which is an ideal combo for mid-tier PC gaming.

If you want a cheap laptop with some added flexibility, the HP Pavilion machine is a good option. You can get a strong 11th-Gen Intel Core i5 with the sale’s discount, you get 8 Gigabyte of RAM, and a 128-gigabyte solid state drive. It’s a good combo for productivity users, such as students. The 360-hinge makes watching videos on this laptop a bit more comfortable too.

Chromebooks may be slated as devices for light web work, but there are plenty of folks who’ll want to push them hard. For that, the IdeaPad Flex 5i is our top choice for a ChromeOS powerhouse in our Best Chromebooks guide. The Intel Core i3 and 8 GB of RAM are more than enough to get a lot of performance from a Chromebook, with options for lower-powered Celeron chips and often 4 GB of RAM. The display also offers an anti-glare finish to dodge any pesky reflections.

Low Price Comparison Between Apple’s newest iPad and the Resurrection of the iPad Mini (8/10, WIRED Recommendations)

It’s compatible with a variety of 11-inch iPad Pro generations. It adds a keyboard and trackpad so you can get some light work done. Not only is the case slim and the keys pleasing to type on, but the keyboard can also be removed when you don’t need it, keeping the iPad Pro’s supreme portability intact.

The iPad Air now has an M1 processor, the same one used in the iPad Pro and the Macbook Air, making it the most powerful tablet for the money. This is the lowest price we’ve seen yet.

The revamped iPad Mini (8/10, WIRED Recommends) brought slim bezels and boosted performance to Apple’s small tablet. There’s also convenient Touch ID, USB-C charging, a front camera with Apple’s Center Stage, and support for the second-gen Apple Pencil.

This is a good deal on our current favorite iPad for most people. This is the lowest price we have seen. For the past three years, Apple has updated their iPad around this time of year. There could be a new model that could be on sale for Black Friday.

Amazon recently debuted a new Fire HD 8 that is available for preorder. If you want a cheap tablets, this 2020 model is still a good deal. The travel-friendly size, reasonably powerful processor, and USB-C make the Fire HD 8 series nearly as capable as their larger siblings. The screen of the Fire HD 8 isn’t so bad that it’ll torture your eyes when you view it. We have a guide that will allow you to install the play store even if it’s not out of the box.

The WIRED recommends the Google Pixel 6A, and while it is not our favorite device, it is our top pick as the Best Cheap Phone. This deal is the lowest we’ve seen. Even when it is not on sale, thePixel 6A can still be had for a very low price, with good performance, excellent cameras, impressive battery life and a nice display. If you are looking for a better deal on a new device, this is it. You can get a bigger device and a better camera with the $250 discount on the Pixel 6 Pro.

The Google Pixel 7 officially launches tomorrow, but you can get a free $100 Amazon gift card if you preorder it from the retailer for the same $599 MSRP. You can learn more about the phone and read our review if you so desire.

The Bestmazon Prime Day Lattice Phones Tech Deals: Flip Z4 Compared to the Flip 7 and S22 Ultras

This is the cheapest price we have ever seen on the S22 Ultra. This device has an S Pen built in, so it’s great for doodling or writing notes. The 10x optical zoom camera lets you take stunningly sharp pictures from far away.

It costs a lot. But it folds. It is true that the extra screen real estate is nice. Android 12L also makes life on a bigger screen easier, thanks to its improved multitasking. The battery life is good, and you get a bright, smooth screen—no crease on the fold.

The Flip Z4 is a folding phone, but it still feels like a normal phone, even if you fold it up. It’s almost like a StarTak, but with a real screen. The battery will get you through the day, but not much longer. Still, if you’ve been wanting a folding phone, this deal is the cheapest we’ve seen.

The phone is fast, has a bright 120-hertz screen refresh rate, and a good software support window. Its cameras are not as good as the likes of the Pixel 6 or Galaxy S22. This is more expensive than the newly announced Pixel 7.

The Best Amazon Prime Day LCD-Phi Phones Technology Deals: An iPod Primal-Day Laptop with a 120Hz Refresh Rate

This is no different to the other charges in the MagGo range. It’s one of our top MagSafe accessories. Not only does the stand charge your AirPods and iPhone, but the power bank can be detached and taken with you. It has a larger top-up than Apple’s own MagSafe pack and at a cheaper price.

For MagSafe- compatible iPhone owners, the MagGo range is delightful. You can make a stand out of this for the iPhone to prop it up, as you can charge your phone at the top. There is a place to charge the AirPods as well.

WIRED reviewer Eric Ravenscraft loves this little cube and it’s easy to see why. It is easy to expand your power options without taking up a lot of space. The sockets andusb a ports are cheap, and they are very useful.

TVs of this high caliber (8/10, WIRED Recommends) don’t come cheap, but this is a pretty significant discount for one of the best TVs you can buy for bright rooms. If you’ve got a big family and a home with plenty of windows, this might be the move. It also has a 120-Hz refresh rate for gamers looking to get the most out of their consoles.

This TCL model is a bigger and newer version of our favorite entry-level device. It has a number of TV OS, as well as a number of free-sync and vision features. The smaller remote model is easy to use, and it has a deep contrast.

Streaming on Fire TV Cube and PS5: Top 10 Amazon Prime Day Laptop Phones Tech Deals for 2022-2

If you want to upgrade your tv setup, one of our favorite sidles is under $200. The Signa S4 is our top package if you want to grab both a soundbar and a subwoofer. To get the right vibe, the combo offers options like customization and HDMI ARC. This is a good choice if you want big sound at a house party or a movie premiere.

We didn’t love the Fire TV Cube in our review (6/10, WIRED Recommends) but a lot of the criticisms were software-based, and if you are fully in the Alexa ecosystem, it’s the most powerful streamer you can get. It’s a pretty machine, with Alexa built in, and there are sensible parental controls.

The WIRED recommended Apple’s latest streaming device, which got a very good review. We rate it for its much-improved remote, useful user profiles, and ability to search across all of your subscriptions. It remains a pricey streaming box option, and that’s why this discount is worth a look.

The X80J is one of our top TV picks. For PS5 owners, there’s HDMI 2.1 onboard, letting you get the best out of your console.

The best Amazon prime day loudspeakers tech deals: Wireless earbuds with a strong NC and a crystal-clear microscopic microphone

These headphones are our best noise canceling headphones under $100, with a strong NC and up to 40-hour playtime. The sound is delivered via 40-mm silk diaphragm drivers. At this low price, they are admittedly a little fragile, so you’ll have to treat them carefully.

The 2nd Gen Echo Buds (8/10, WIRED Recommends) offer solid sound, speedy pairing, and, expectedly, easy-to-use voice controls. There’s also a range of ear tips and fins to make sure you can get a comfortable and snug fit. Wireless charging in the case is also here for added convenience.

Google’s latest wireless earbuds got a stellar review from WIRED associate editor Parker Hall (9/10, WIRED Recommends), with the Buds Pro getting props for comfort, great sound, seven hours of battery life with active noise cancellation (ANC), and pricing that’s now even further below that of the Apple AirPods Pro (9/10, WIRED Recommends). The microphones and midtones have room for improvement.

If you want the best headphones, stick with Sony. The WH-1000XM5 (9/10, WIRED Recommends) sound amazing, have great noise cancellation, and are just plain comfortable to wear.

The Arctis Prime Wired Headset got great marks in our review (8/10, WIRED Recommends). It’s comfortable ear cups and sleek looks make it one of our favorites. Essential for gaming, it also has a crystal-clear microphone.

The Best Amazon Prime Day Laptops Tech Deals: The Strix Z590-E, the 5900X, or the RTX 3090 Ti

The 980-series M.2 is one of the best solid-state drives on the market. They are quick, small, and offer a lot of storage space. The Pro version is a bit quicker and more spacious than the others, which is one of our top picks for gaming PC builds.

It may have just been supplanted by the RTX 4090, but the RTX 3090 Ti is still a super-powerful card. Most of what you can throw at it will handle, with good reason: it runs games in 4k, and has silky smooth 120 frames per second. It is a good time to buy high-end cards from the 30-series, as the 40-series is announced and on its way.

The Asus ROG Strix lineup of motherboards has been on the list of our favorite gaming PC components for a while now. They’re user-friendly, packed with all the right ports, and even feature some subtle lighting.

The Strix Z590-E is a more expensive version of the Prime Z590. It has almost all the same features, except the M.2 slots don’t feature the same level of high-end cooling materials you get on the Strix. Otherwise, this one is just as good a pick.

If you want to be able to do heavy video editing or put together an absolute monster of a gaming PC, the 5900X is a good choice. With 12-cores and 24-threads it can handle just about anything you throw at it without breaking a sweat.

The Best Amazon Prime Day Laptops Tech Deals – Top Model T7 Shield – The Best Portable SSDs for Home Use and Video-Calling

The T7 Shield is cheaper than the LaCie Rugged drive and is in our Best Portable SSDs guide, which is why we like it so much. It’ll bat away dust and water with an IP65 rating and is rated to survive drops up to 9.8 feet. There are other sizes available too if you’d like to spend more or less.

The biggest version of the standing Echo Show is the one that you can get before Show 15. As well as a big 10-inch display, you get improved audio quality and a screen that can rotate almost 360 degrees. This addition makes the top model a strong option for those who regularly use Alexa-supported devices for video calling or for following recipes.

The smart display is a 15 inch screen that can be mounted on the wall like a picture frame. It comes with a 5-MP camera for video-calling friends and family. You also get full access to Alexa to control your smart home devices.

Getting the most out of your Apple Watch: Amazon Prime Day Laptop Phones for kids and grown-ups in the neighborhood of Amazon Kids+

The Apple Watch Series 8 is our favorite Apple timepiece and it is already on sale. The 41mm version is on sale for $349. The new Watch SE model includes an electrocardiogram, an always on display, a skin temperature sensor for better period tracking, and a more accurate heart-rate monitor. You can check our guide for additional recommendations.

If you were to design a device it would look like a panda, what more could you want? This is a kid-friendly take on the 4th generation, coming with typical Alexa functionality, one year of Amazon Kids+, and a range of parental controls.

The 4th-gen model of the standard Amazon Echo is still the best choice even though there is a new 5th-gen version of the device. It’s got great sound and, despite dwarfing the Echo Dot, remains a size that isn’t all that obtrusive. A strong addition to your home or the starting of a new one.

We rated Insta360’s One RS (8/10, WIRED Recommends) highly in our review. The GoPro Hero series is still our top pick as the Best Action Camera, but this one brings interchangeable modifications to the party, including—you guessed it—a dual-lens 360-degree camera.

We love this model because of its top battery life, and we included it in our Best Smartwatch guide. it is scheduled to get the Wear OS 3 update later this year. It’s responsive, delivers notifications, counts steps, and features 24/7 heart-rate monitoring, all with an AMOLED display and two-day battery life. There’s a new TicWatch Ultra on the way with Qualcomm’s new wearables chipset.

This Blink video doorbell received an honorable mention in our Best Video Doorbell Cameras guide. It’s one of the cheaper options around and has Alexa compatibility. The camera system will allow you to expand your home network.

A cheap and cheerful smart plug, that has a long and short life. You can add timers and schedules with it. You can also use the Alexa Guard to make it appear that you are home when you are traveling or on vacation.

This useful label printer is featured in our all-encompassing work-from-home guide and is a great way to save a couple of dollars on your shipping. The printer doesn’t have to use ink, and uses heat instead. You’ll find useful instructions to get the sizing of your label just right.

Comparison of AirPods Pro and Galaxy Buds Pro vs. Android Smartphones: What Can You Expect to Learn From Amazon Prime?

Other stores have started offering competing deals that don’t require an Amazon Prime membership (and more likely will). Here’s a list of merchants that may be getting in on the action.

The Apple transparency mode is also behind the ambient mode. Voices sound wetter than they do on AirPods, and you can’t hear your surroundings as clearly. The AirPods Pro can also suppress louder sounds while using transparency mode so that everything remains at a consistent volume, something the Galaxy Buds aren’t capable of.

Apple says the ANC is twice as good as the previous generation, and it’s a bit shocking how well it works. The windiest of the boardwalks, the loudest street corners and the most chaotic households are no match for the noise suppression of these buds – you can not hear anything when it’s on.

Pairing each set of buds with their respective smartphone counterparts can also enable special features. If you pair them with anANDROID device, they will not have the same features as the AirPods Pro, like spatial audio and multi-device support. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Buds have 24-bit hi-fi audio, multi-device support and Fast Pair as long as you connect them to a Galaxy phone.

If you own a Galaxy or some other Android phone, you’ll have a much better experience with the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro since those are the devices the earbuds are designed to work with. There is a good chance that the AirPods Pro are a good fit for iPhone owners. It’s a bit of a disappointment, but what can you do?
