Demagogic Remarks on Democratic Sen. Pat Bolduc and 2020 Democratic Candidate Amy Rudolph-Small-Fixed Sen. Amy Hassan
The race in New Hampshire is a key contest for both parties. Hassan entered the year as one of the most vulnerable Senate incumbents in the country, hampered by antipathy for Democratic control in Washington. But Bolduc, despite winning the primary in September, was not the first choice among top Republican operatives, some of whom worry that his more far right views have imperiled their chances of unseating the New Hampshire Democrat.
Many voters across the political spectrum say rising costs — on home heating, groceries, gas and housing — are a top issue. Democrats are worried that a red seat in the Senate could be turned into a federal abortion ban by a Republican majority, and a large number of independents are also worried about that.
Hassan attempted to highlight Bolduc’s history of embracing and parroting former President Donald Trump’s lies about widespread fraud in the 2020 election.
“I signed a letter with 120 other generals and admirals saying Trump won the election, and damn it, I stand by [it],” Bolduc said during a mid-August debate. But shortly after the primary, Bolduc tried to walk back those comments, saying he had “done a lot of research on this… and I have come to the conclusion – and I want to be definitive on this – the election was not stolen.”
But since that walk back, Bolduc has struggled to fully deny the 2020 election was stolen, including raising the unsubstantiated possibility of 2022 election impropriety.
Bolduc’s recent disavowals of his previous hardline stances, like proposing major cuts to Social Security and Medicare, aren’t keeping more mainstream GOP figures from backing him. Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, a possible 2024 presidential candidate, endorsed Bolduc last week. Nikki Haley, former U.N. ambassador and another potential candidate for the GOP nomination in 2024, joined Bolduc for a rally in Rochester, her second time on the campaign trail for him.
Haley also tied Hassan to Biden on issues like the cost of home heating and the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan, which Haley blasted as a failure.
The Democrat’s Choice: Why abortion isn’t a priority in the New Hampshire Legislature, but a Democratic challenge to the White House
I don’t support a ban at the federal level in regards to abortion. ” It’s a state issue now,”Bolduc said, looking at the audience. “I support New Hampshire’s law. I support the people of Granite State. She lies.”
The abortion issue is impacting the November election in a number of ways. Barbara said that the economy is more important to her than abortion.
“I think obviously some people are going to put that at the top of their list, but if you can’t pay your bills, if you can’t buy food, if you can’t hang on to a job with the stock market going up and down and we’re going into a recession, as far as I’m concerned, abortion is not that crucial.”
“Issues like women’s rights are the top of mind issues for me, despite the fact that I’m a Democrat,” said Valdin, a first- time New Hampshire voter.
She stood with the president as he signed a bill into law that gave border patrol better technology to detect the synthetic opiate opioids, and she wanted to show her bipartisan credentials.
“The administration was too slow to recognize the long term reality of inflation, and that is why they have a distance between themselves and Biden on the economy,” she said. And they took too long to react to it.” She noted she was one of the people pushing for additional oil to be taken out of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
Hanson, a steel company employee who identifies as Democrat, is still undecided which candidate to support. She voted for Biden in 2020, but is not a fan of the system in Washington. “I think it needs to change course. She said that she thought the whole thing needs to be messed up.
The Second Debatbate of the Bolduc PAC Campaign in New Hampshire: What Happens When Katei Wins the Presidential Primary?
In recent days, the Senate Leadership Fund, the super PAC with ties to Senate Minority LeaderMitch McConnell, withdrew resources it had earmarked forBolduc in the final stretch of the campaign, a signal they believe she is positioned to prevail.
Katei said in a statement that the Republican nominee has been defiant from the beginning and is going to win the election.
One Hassan supporter, Jenn Alford-Teaster, says one thing is constant in the purple state. “I don’t think there will ever be a race in the history of New Hampshire that will never not be close.”
The Republicans need to net one seat to win back the majority. A lot of attention is focused on contests in Georgia and Nevada, but the political fate of the Senate could also be decided in New Hampshire.
During their second debate in the New Hampshire Senate race, Democrat and Republican senators debated over abortion, with Don Bolduc, a retired Army brigadier general, getting emotional as attacks were made against him on the issue.
The race was not easy to judge during the debate, as both candidates were willing to hit their opponent less than two weeks before Election Day.
The Big Leap That Was Stoked in 2019 by Don Bolduc, an Activist Candidate in South Carolina and Why he Lies About Social Security
He said he wouldn’t vote for a federal law on abortion. I have spoken to McConnell. I’ve told Lindsey Graham. Graham, the Republican senator from South Carolina, recently proposed a federal bill that would ban abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancies with exceptions for rape, incest and when the mother’s life is in danger.
I know what these ads do, that’s why I complained about them. I know what these lies do. Lying about social security, lying about everything.”
A woman’s right to make her own health care decisions and her own health and safety are at stake. And I believe those decisions have to be made by a woman and her doctor,” Hassan said.
The reason free and fair elections matter is because people in New Hampshire hold the election deniers accountable by being transparent about how extreme they are. Don Bolduc doesn’t need to accept election results because he’s not in Granite State.
There was a laugh from the audience whenBolduc said it, but the candidate didn’t seem to think it was funny.
When asked if he needed to verify his claim about buses of people, he said, “I think we need to verify that.” That is what I just said. Can you listen to me here for a second?” He said later, that he thought it was valid.
The big lie that was stolen in 2020 is the subject of a continued attempt by Don Bolduc to stoke the big lie.
After Bolduc claimed that he “never said” he wanted to terminate Social Security, Hassan directed viewers to go to a website her campaign stood up to highlight several of Bolduc’s positions, noting the fact that there were videos of Bolduc taking certain positions.
The State Where We Are Going Downhill Is Georgia: Sen. Herschel Walker, Sen. Joe Biden, and the Democratic Leadership of the Senate
Schumer expressed some concern about the Democratic prospects in Georgia in the final weeks before the election, but he was still hopeful about Pennsylvania after their nominee performed well in the debate.
“The state where we’re going downhill is Georgia. The Democratic leader said it was hard to believe that Herschel Walker would be the Republican Senate nominee and that our early turnout in Georgia was huge.
Schumer said that the debate didn’t hurt the state of Pennsylvania.
The overheard comments came during a conversation among Schumer, President Joe Biden and New York Gov. Kathy Hochul on the tarmac of Hancock Field Air National Guard Base in Syracuse, New York. As part of his closing message, Biden spoke to the state on Thursday, where he painted Republicans as a threat to pocketbooks.
Less than two weeks out from the election, Democrats are trying to hold onto their Senate majority in a tie, because Vice President Harris has the tie-breaking vote. Georgia and Pennsylvania are critical to the mission because they are key to flip a seat.
The Democratic leader said his party was “picking up steam” in Nevada, where Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto is among the party’s most vulnerable incumbents.

The Florida Abortion Crisis: On the Effects of Fetterman’s Speech, Laura Oz, and the State of the Investigative Investigation of a Clinton Campaign
The Georgia race was rocked this week by allegations from a woman who claims she was in a years-long romantic relationship with Walker. She said at the press conference that she got an abortion in 1993 because he pressured her. Walker, who has already been accused by a former girlfriend of encouraging her to have the procedure and then reimbursing her the cost, has denounced each claim as a lie. CNN hasn’t confirmed the first woman’s allegations. She has been unnamed in public reports.
Most polling shows Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock, who’s running for a full six-year term, with a modest lead over Walker in the final stretch of the campaign.
Abortion rights have been a flashpoint not only in Georgia, but in Pennsylvania, where Fetterman has looked to turn voters’ attention to Oz’s comments about the procedure in this week’s debate. The Republican stated that local politicians should not be against womens’ health decisions.
Fetterman told MSNBC’s JoyReid on Thursday that Oz’s comment showed “what he actually believes about abortion.”
But while Democrats immediately seized on Oz’s comments in their paid advertising, most of the post-debate attention was focused on the effects of Fetterman’s stroke.
“We wanted to be and thought it was important to be there. The Democrat said they showed up. “And getting knocked down, I always got back up. And, to me, that’s really at the essence of our campaign, is that we’re running for any Pennsylvanian that ever got knocked down that has to get back up. That is what we are running on.
While in a debate with the Republican challenger Don Bolduc on Wednesday, Democratic Sen. Hassan wouldn’t hesitate to criticize the administration’s handling of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, especially since she hopes to keep her seat in New Hampshire.
Senate Majority PAC, the top Democratic super PAC engaged in Senate races, just added $600,000 to its final week ad reservations in the New Hampshire race. The Democratic spending comes after the top GOP super PAC, Senate Leadership Fund, pulled out of the race in mid-October amid concerns about Bolduc’s electability and the need to divert resources to higher-priority states.
Comment on “Correcting the Fauxtality of the First Amendment in the Adoption and Election Laws” by A. B. Bolduc
Even though his false claims about election fraud have been discredited, Bolduc attempted to avoid repeating them and accused Hassan of being grandstanding.
She did not directly answer a question about whether she would support any limits on abortion rights or would be willing to strike a compromise on the issue.
