Ye took to social media after his account was restricted because of antisemitic posts.

Has the rapper Kanye West been charged with antisemitism and racism? A response to a comment on the “I’m going to death con 3” on Adidas

Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, has set off one controversy after another in the last week, first at his fashion show and then on social media, prompting accusations of racism and antisemitism.

He would go to death con 3 in the near future. On JEWISH PEOPLE,” an apparent reference to the United States’ defense readiness condition, known as Def. There is a Con.

Meta, which owns Instagram, also told NPR it removed content that violated policies. Which posts were responsible for the restrictions was not specified.

I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3      On JEWISH PEOPLE The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic  because black people are actually Jew also    You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda

On Friday, Ye posted a message on his website that he said was from the Jewish people, which said that no one can threaten or influence him. I told you that it was a war.

Adidas had been reviewing its partnership with Ye since he wore a “White Lives Matter” shirt at Paris Fashion Week. The Anti-Defamation League considers the slogan, which has been embraced by white supremacists, a symbol of hate speech.

“Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness,” the company said in a statement.

In a statement Tuesday, the sportswear maker said it “does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech” and said that his recent comments were “unacceptable, hateful and dangerous.” Adidas said they had violated their values of diversity and inclusion.

Sales of his products and payments to Ye and his companies have stopped. Adidas said it will take a €250 million hit ($246 million) to its fourth quarter sales.

Adidas has partnered with West since 2013, when the company signed his brand away from rival Nike. In 2016, Adidas expanded its relationship with the rapper, calling it “the most significant partnership ever created between a non-athlete and an athletic brand.”

There was a fall in the shares of Adidas. Adidas said it will give more information about dissolving its partnership with Ye in its upcoming earnings report.

There are brands that are no longer associated with West. Balenciaga and Vogue publicly cut ties last week, and on Monday, talent agency CAA dropped West as a client. Production company MRC said that it’s shelving a documentary on West.

“Although there is room for some tension in fashion, this must never cross the line of decency and basic respect for humanity. Companies or brands that fail to heed this will get stung, especially if they become overly reliant on a difficult personality to drive their business,” he added.

The Unaccredited Private School Run by the R-rated Kanye West Star, Adolf Dassler and Puma: The Case against the Decay of Donda

Ye’s nearly decade-long partnership with the German sportswear giant helped make the rap superstar a billionaire and vaulted his Yeezy branded sneakers to a global audience.

The company decided to stop selling Ye products after a string of statements made by him, including that slavery was a choice and an interview with Tucker Carlson, where he said he would prefer his kids to know Chanukah than Kwanzaa.

Brothers Adolf and Rudolf Dassler had been members of the Nazi party and toward the end of World War II, their shoe factory was converted into a munitions plant for the war effort.

The famous Jesse Owens wore a pair of spiked shoes from the Dasslers at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin and went on to win four gold medals.

The two split off due to a difference of opinion, and Adidas was founded by Adolf Dassler in 1949. And his brother started a new shoemaker, called Puma, after the river from Adidas’ operation.

Under German law, inciting hatred against people of a certain race or religion, including denying the Holocaust and spreading Nazi propaganda, is criminalized and can be punishable with prison time.

Twitter and Instagram suspended Ye earlier this month after making antisemitic posts, including a post on Twitter threating to go “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE.”

Ye made a move that perplexed tech watchers, announcing that he was purchasing the conservative-friendly Twitter knock-off company Parler. Details of the transaction have yet to be made public.

The rapper has stated that he would like to build his own Yecosystem which would include his own factories and retail stores in a way to completely separate himself from the corporate world.

Uncertainty swirls over the status of Donda Academy, an unaccredited private school run by the rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, who has faced a backlash — financial and otherwise — for his recent antisemitic remarks.

The email was sent to parents early Thursday morning, saying the school was closing. But a separate email, signed by “Parents of Donda,” indicated the school would not be shutting down, TMZ reported.

“We intend to begin afresh in September of 2023, and we are confident that our scholars will continue to advance as the creative innovators, courageous influencers and academic leaders of the next generation. The school said thank you.

Kanye West’s ‘Donda academy’ adidas skechers business gap’ revisited

The shoe company said that Ye was escorted out of its Los Angeles office after showing up unexpectedly Wednesday. After a brief conversation, two executives escorted Ye and his party from the building, because they were engaged in unauthorized filming.

T.J. Maxx announced on Wednesday that it would be boycotting and pulling Yeezy merchandise from its stores. “At TJX we do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or hate of any kind,” the company said in a statement to CNN Business.

Gap announced it was pulling the rapper’s Yeezy Gap line of merchandise and has now shutdown YeezyGap.com. “Our former partner’s recent remarks and behavior further underscore why we are taking immediate steps to remove Yeezy Gap product from our stores,” the clothing retailer said in a statement Tuesday.

If you want to purchase any products that Ye has been involved with, you’ll no longer see them on Foot Locker’s website.

Ye’s recording contract and label deal with Def Jam Recordings have ended, according to The New York Times. It’s unclear if Yeezus’ antisemitic statements have anything to do with the expired contract.

There are still other tracks of West in Apple Music’s rotation, although the popular one has been removed. NPR reached out to Apple Music for comment but has not heard a response.

Jaylen Ye’s Disappearance on Donda Sports and a Possible Case Against Floyd’s Foltanyl

MRC announced on Monday that it would not distribute a documentary on Ye following his comments, saying it could not “support any platform that amplifies his platform.”

The Los Angeles Times reported that Ye’s antisemitic rant was the cause behind the decision by the agency to no longer represent him.

Jaylen Brown said on his verified account that he was ending his association with Donda Sports. “I now know that there may be times when my voice and position can’t coexist in places that do not correspond with my values,” Brown said.

The music was stopped because of his antisemitic comments. In a statement sent to PeloBuddy, a website dedicated to Peloton, they said that the instructors are no longer using his music in new classes and that they are not suggesting any classes with his music in them.

A recent episode of HBO’s The Shop featuring Ye was scrapped after the Chicago rapper used the show to spew more antisemitic rhetoric. After speaking toKanye directly the day before the show was to start, I believed that he was capable of a respectful discussion and he was ready to address all of his recent comments. Unfortunately, he used The Shop to reiterate more hate speech and extremely dangerous stereotypes.”

Ye appeared on N.O.R.E and DJ EFN’s popular podcast Drink Champs, where he continued to spew more hateful speech. During the interview, he even claimed that George Floyd died because of fentanyl, not because an officer had his knee on his neck. Ye’s actions caused the episode to be taken down. Ye is facing a $250 million lawsuit from Floyd’s family.

Ye has dropped from the list of billionaires, according to Forbes. It estimated the Adidas deal accounted for $1.5 billion of his net worth, but Forbes now estimates it at a mere $400 million.
